Hotel Sol Playa

The staff the responses to my request were attended to straight away and this made my stay very relaxed and enjoyable. The place is a budget hotel but that said it is run with a family vibe with a professional tenacity. The food is great. The place is secure and safe. Its right next to the beach which can smell and hear. For me I like 5 star but these places have a soul and you feel like a local. Something unique that a 5 star hotel doesn't have

Excellent botique hotel. Spacious, bright suite with 2 large, private balconies. Spectacular location directly across the beach path, away from the tourist center. Very quiet, well maintained with nice restaurant street side. Friendly, unobtrusive staff. I have stayed in many hotels in Playa; this is one of my new favorites.

The location was great! close to the beach and Playa del Carmen downtown and shopping area
